Buddy tried out the water bucket carrier job.
This is the thing you use to tighten the ropes holding your bed up every night before jumping in. Our tour lady said this is where the 'Sleep tight...bed bugs bite' comes from. A bed made with ropes and hay would need to be tightened and sometimes have bugs inside.
Spot for guests...who often came for Joseph Smith.
The thing in the corner is called a weasel and is where the song Pop goes the weasel comes from. It would pop when it's finished.
This might have been the kids' favorite part.
They have thousands of girls come to the farm for Girls Camp each year. You have to put your name on to hold a spot years in advance to come here. It's gorgeous country.
Steps were alot of Church meetings were held. They have a picture of what it used to look like waaaaay back in the 1800s (Sometimes it's a bit humorous that our 'ancient history' goes back a few hundred years when most of the world goes to look at things that are closer to 1,000s of years old. Guess that's what happens when God reserves a prized land for a special purpose. Glad I get to live here).
I have enjoyed these signs from the various churches as you drive around town. Another one of my favorites said something about 'Is Christ your life insurance agent?'

This is such a neat place! I love all those church history sites that we were close to. So glad I could live near them for a short time and be able to visit such special places! BTW you do such a great job with your blog and taking pictures! You inspire me :)
