Someone recommended the Story time at the Downtown Library, so I took the kids and we checked it out. We've been back a few times since that first visit. We are story time alumni.
Guess Kyleigh couldn't find a seat anywhere so she choose Brenden's seat.
He obliged.
That day they had a brief music time with drums.
Kyleigh took no part in that. She is not as musically inclined as her brother. She will dance, but not play.
There is always a project or craft after story time and music. This time the kids got to paint.
One paints paper while the other one paints her hand.
(Must allow the hand to dry).
We either meet friends at the library or carpool there. It's nice to have a few pals around. Even if he is the only boy.
She doesn't sit as still as Brenden. He will follow along and listen to the whole story while she will go between sitting by her brother on a mat or on my lap.
They listened to the song that told them where on their body to put the bean bag.
Woah, 'scuse the interruption. Trent took us to the park one afternoon so he could play on the jungle jim.
The lady at the Library makes different things out of cardboad. She has done a castle and this week was a space ship. Pretty clever. Kids sure enjoyed it.
Oh, and we grab a few books while we are being entertained at the library. But don't you dare try to help Kyleigh fill her bag. She is plenty capable herself!!! Even if it takes her about 10 different tries to get the one book in the bag.
Booty bag full. Time to go.

And because they served ice cream with sprinkles, the kids didn't mind going back.
(And they
looooove the play kitchen. Just sit for a spell and you might just be fed a five course meal. They do take orders, too).
