Hardest part....

....of dropping Brenden off on his first day of full day Kindergarten was not watching him wave goodbye to me as the teacher took his hand and led him to the circle of kids. It was when we got back in the car and Kyleigh asked me in a soft, sad voice, ”Where's Brenden?”
Trent and I had focused so much on helping Brenden get excited about going to school and doing well, I completely neglected helping Kyleigh understand that I was about to rip away her best play pal for the better part of every weekday.
I'm a sorry excuse for a replacement of fun when compared to Brenden's imagination. Sorry kid.
