Halloween fun

I've been told that Halloween gets so much better when the kids are about 3-4. The same goes for Christmas and other holidays. Our little 6 month old did well in the Utah cold Halloween and since we got to go with Trents sisters family, it was only a short little cruise down the street and back. B was a Fire Chief and due to lack of serious planning and funding, Trent and I went as 80s basketball stars. We got to take pictures before the festivities in backyard of Trent's sister's inlaw's house. They have invited us over many times for Sunday dinners and it's always so much fun. For Halloween we took pictures, went trick or treating, came home and ate yummy chili/pasta cooked inside a pumpkin made by Sally Curtis with Harry Potter juice made by Tree. Then we had a skit of the Potter Puppets put on by cousins Aspen and Jack and Uncle Craig and Aunts Tree and Brenda with Trent playing Ron Weasley. They did a most excellent job and we all got a good laugh. Then Jack and Aspen sang for us and we played several games and then called it a night so we could get some sleep since we're definitely not feeling as young as we used to when staying up late and getting up early was easier. I'm looking forward to when I have more kids to get more excited about all the make believe holidays and re-enjoy all the festivities in a new light.

The wonderful lady-Sally Curtis-who made a type of chili that was cooked inside a pumpkin. Nice! She just left yesterday with her husband to go on a mission to Nauvoo, IL. Lucky!!
