For Trent's birthday last week, Brenden and I tried to surprise him but we didn't quite finish setting up the tent before he got home from work and caught us. He had to help us finish the preparations (Brenden got to use the hammer to nail the stakes down), then we went inside for his chosen dinner-breakfast for dinner. Afterward, we tried to watch a movie, but the only functioning laptop no longer functions...its so old that it didn't recognize the several different dvds we tried. We thought maybe it was just this one dvd, but none of them worked. And just as well. It was the kids' bedtime by the time it even fired up, and they had plenty of fun with their toys in the tent anyway. After throwing them into bed, we went downstairs to watch Ben Hur since I have never seen it. No wonder it had won the most awards and held that place until the Titanic came out. Great story. Popcorn was exceptional.
