Halloween

Halloween was fun this year. We got to have 2 kids who enjoy running around in costume asking people to fork over the candy...all so that Trent can take some to school while he studies.
I got to go to a girls Witches party. A girl in the ward did such an incredible job decorating her entire house, preparing an elaborate menu (monkey brains, monster fingers, etc), and some fun games.

This game you had to guess what ingredient for the witches brew was in the jar. (more brains, claws, etc).

Another day, our Ward had the Halloween Carnival and Trunk or Treat. Trent and I were the lucky ones called to set this all up:)

There were 17 different booths, candy and prizes at each one. And a Costume contest with prizes.

Hard to get 2 small kids to look at the camera at the same time...while other cute kids are running around while their parents set up the booths before the party begins.

...At least Brenden was checking out the babes at the party....

Kyleigh's good friend. (Just as I'm typing this, Brenden was in the kitchen, sees the picture and runs to the computer yelling her name! They are moving soon...the downside of being in a student populated area...but are going to a good place, so we're happy for them. Sorta.)

Here in Ohio, each city designates their own day and time for trick and treating. Our was Saturday from 5-7. It was a very nice evening and actually felt like a big tailgate party with all the neighbors out on their lawns with their firepits going and chatting with everyone who passes by. The kids loved it, we made really good time and almost 2 streets. We just stopped when the baskets got full and the kids were tired. Good night. Especially the baked potato soup and rolls after walking the 'hood with our neighbors in Medical residency.
Captain America and Wonder Woman did great and didn't even ask for more than 3 candy bars after all their work nor for any the next morning. What's wrong with these kids??!! Candy for crying out loud!!! (Trent doesn't mind one bit).
