It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...

Thanksgiving was barely digested when Trent and the kids made plans to find a tree and pull out the ornaments. Trent grew up paying $15 to the Forest Service and going out into the forest behind his house and picking whichever tree they want, sawing it and loading it into the truck to haul home & decorate. Growing up in Las Vegas didn't really afford me that kind of experience, but it was still magical to pick a tree to decorate and launch the season of giving.
We took Trent's parents to the John Johnson farm (Rodger had never been) and lucked out to find a tree farm right next door instead of drive further to the one we found online.
The guy plants trees in his front yard and sells them as a hobby. After perusing all of them and getting a general consensus, Rodger and Trent sawed this one down and stuffed it into our small trunk.
Brenden and Kyleigh were so excited to decorate they stuck with it from the first ornament to the last.
And they did a fine job.
