Trent's parents came into town over Thanksgiving weekend and it was sure nice to have family around.
It's not a large stretch of the imagination to know our excitement over seeing familiar faces. They wanted to see John Johnson farm, so we made sure to head over there. The day we headed over was the first time we had snow this year. Kids couldn't wait to run out and into all over the white stuff.
sans gloves even.
Rodger told Brenden to throw the snowball at him. Brenden was hesitant at first...like is this ok? To throw a snowball at Grandpa? But he did and they both laughed.
Mae likes to be our own personal ornament. Little legs get weary sometimes.
This chap is always up for some kind of activity...even if it is looking at old stuff that you can't even touch...for the 3rd or 4th or 5th time. He's a definite good sport.
Grandma listening to our guide tell us about all the revelations and Heavenly visions that occurred right in this room.
God is most definitely in charge.
Luckily, the kids also got to go visit a place that does let you touch its stuff. One of the guides in the MAPS museum said that when one of their planes were delivered, they opened up the cockpit and saw that the emergency release was still on/wired. If anyone would have accidentally pulled it while sitting in the cockpit, they would have been shot into the air going a couple Gs and free-fall to the ground. At the very least, a couple broken bones...most likely your back since it is compacted significantly when you shoot that high that fast. Nice that they check that kind of stuff so that Mae is safe when checking out this old bird.
Our guide told us this thing took at least 5 people to run it. That's alot of coordination to put together in a very short amount of time to accurately shoot down your oncoming enemy.
B in a blimp.
This is the one that crashed. They no longer make 8 seater versions. I think that's what the clippings in the glass case said.
Such concentration...
Kyleigh looking at the donated, battle-worn weaponry from a soldier.
A budding pilot? Possibly. It's in his genes.
Can you imagine trying to land this on the deck of a ship bobbing in water? Better not miss.
