Initially we googled a place inbetween Hiram, Ohio and Kirtland, Ohio since we would be passing those places on our visit to the John Johnson farm with Trent's parents. But, just before turning off the Pioneer Trail road in Hiram, to the north was this tree farm in a guy's front yard with a tiny sign that said, "Christmas trees for sale". We checked out John's old farm, and then went down the street to choose and cut down our own Christmas tree.
This is right after she told me that some of the snow had fallen into her boot. I guess we should have brought snow pants to go over her boots when hiking around to pick out a tree.
The first one, closest in the picture, is the one we chose. You knock on the guy's front door and pay him either $25 for a tree under 6 ft. or $30 for anything over 6 ft. No brainer.

Takes roughly 10 years for a tree to grow about 6 ft the guy told us. Couple more years, the next round will be ready.

These next few were right before the kids started a snow fight between the two of them. They both enjoyed it.
