Speaking of unconventional play surfaces....

On good days, which have been very far and few inbetween, almost the entire neighborhood of kids will all come outside to play. Our neighbors have gone from one child to four in a matter of months (they are good people and keep being chosen to be foster parents) and they have quite the collection of fun balls and bikes. Brenden jumped in the truck with the other kids from about 4 different households and began the fun and games...

Kyleigh ditched her yellow bike and the first bike she took to? A mini motorcycle-looking big wheel. Already trying to fit in with the big boys?

Uh oh, missed. It was probably a bad toss. Looks too high

Caught this one. And very pleased about it. As he should be.

Even small, pink puppy dogs were thrown.
But Brenden didn't think that was very funny.

Oooooh, missed.

Ready for another one, though.

So he gets a Rubber Duck? Wow, that's cruel. One missed catch and he gets this....
But the kids didn't mind what was being thrown at them. Balls, pink dogs, yellow rubber ducks, as long as they were constantly having some type of object thrown in their direction so they could reverse the fortune, they were happy.

Trent got in the fun and games, but the kids liked to throw the ball high for him to hit it with the top of his head. They were pretty good throwers, and they absolutely loved this new turn of game play.

Brenden and S (red shirt) are both 3. S joined the family next door just a few months ago or so. And such a nice kid. He loves to show us how fast he can ride his bike around the cars.
(And Brenden has continued to follow his Poppy in sticking out the tongue when deep in concentration. This is only 1 of 3 photos I have of him doing so).

Nice form kid. Put the whole body behind tossing that beach ball full of air. (Sometimes you have to if you want it to go far).

The teams were about even. There were usually 3 kids in the truck and 3 kids/adults on the grass...tossing balls, dogs and ducks back and forth.

Valiantly, but unsuccessfully, trying to ride a razor. At least she moved onto a pink vehicle rather than the mini motorcycle big wheel.
