Brenden got hooked up to the giant rubber-band trampoline thing after watching 2 other kids do it. He was very hesitant at first. Not really jumping...just letting the rubber bands do their thing. After a little while he did start to use his legs to make a few small jumps.
Kyleigh wanted to go, but she was 3 pounds shy of the required weight.
We still had time to kill, so we got to see the movie The Croods. Better than I expected. Nice message. Funny parts. And kids liked it. Before this new baby comes, we probably should take advantage of the ability to go to a movie theater while the kids can sit still. Soon we'll have a crawling, walking, active baby on our hands and movies will be a purely at-home experience. So for now, this was a fun treat.
Then, it was finally time...
B had been to Disneyland, but Kyleigh was just a baby, so she didn't really have any recollection of what a roller coaster was. She was about to find out.

First ride of the night: Fire Chief bus.
So far, so good!
We tried the kiddie roller coaster, but she didn't even quite sit down before she was almost in tears and wanted out. We convinced Brenden to stay in, but he wasn't entirely pleased.
He had a nervous, scared look on his face. I think these two rub off on each other a little too much.
Slides were a good buffer inbetween rides.
The Giant Ferris Wheel was fun times for the whole fam.
Last year, Maddy and Mom enjoyed Spring Break on the beach. Swimsuit, sandals, beach towel. This year they packed boots, scarves and thick jackets (or just a couple of wool shirts if you're Grandpa).
Funky mirrors were good for some laughs. B lost his lengthy legs.

Time to calm things down a bit on a little train ride. We must have gone at a good time on a good day because there were practically no lines on any ride and some of them, the kids were just about the only one on the ride.

Trent pointed out to us the interesting choice of decor...Kangaroo and Giraffe with Evergreen/Christmas trees. Not the most likely of combinations.
On this Quadzilla ride, Kyleigh wouldn't go on, so B did a solo run. K watched the whole thing, saw Brenden's smile and decided to join him on the next go around. I'm glad Poppy and Bama were there so they could help convince the kids to stop being so scared and try out the rides.
It was Trent and Maddy's turn for a ride, so they chose this one. Swings you back and forth and spins you at the same time.
Kyleigh was mesmerized the whole time. Probably wondering why anyone would voluntarily subject themselves to that type of torture device.
They both loved it. I didn't think the ride would do a pregnant belly good, so skipped out on this one.
Maddy and Trent got B to join them on the dragon swing ride.
Good thing B hadn't seen beforehand what the ride would do until it was too late. He soon had his head on Trent's lap. :)
But it didn't scare him completely off any further rides. (Almost didn't go on this one until Poppy talked to him. Somehow he completely trusts Poppy-if he says it'll be alright and fun, it just must be that way).
He joined Grandpa, Dad and Maddy on the Crazy Mouse roller coaster. 3 levels high and some spins. I think he liked it.
Kyleigh slowed things down a bit for B when she had him accompany her on this mini-ferris wheel. Luckily, there was something for everyone to ride. Kids sure had a blast. Kept talking about the roller coasters and rides even after the Grandparents left.

Maddy and Mom played a dart game and won a tiger and lion for B and K. Just this morning Kyleigh had me choose which one to be so that I could play with her. These guys may be gone, but definitely never forgotten.
If you can't tell, the kids had a real good time with their Grandparents and Aunty. So glad they came to visit. And that they could return to some more Spring-like weather. We actually just enjoyed our first actual park day yesterday-April, 9th. Winter stuck around way beyond its welcome. Though we didn't get to take the Grandparents on a few hikes that we had planned due to weather, we're sure glad they found some fun indoor entertainment to pass a good time together.
