George Washington

Brenden's class had a Famous American day in March. He was pretty excited about this. And luckily, his Dad was able to switch hours at work to be there. Brenden lit up when his Dad walked in. Everyone in his class choose from a list of famous Americans or Icons to dress up as and recite a small report on who/what they choose.
George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Johnny Appleseed, Rosa Parks, Statue of Liberty, Bald Eagle.

B is a friendly guy and sometimes when I pick him up from school, he is hug-attacked by some of the girls in his class. His Daddy has taught him well how to treat the ladies.

The class sang some Patriotic songs, then took turns to recite their report, and sang more songs. Cool program. LOTS of parents, grandparents, and siblings there.

This girl was not happy that she couldn't go sit by her brother on the floor. (But was appeased when her Dad showed up).

A nice friend in B's class. Also dressed up as George Washington.

B knew his report by heart. He was reciting it in the car and at home for days before the program. But when he got up in front of the intimidating rows of parents, he froze up a little.

George would be proud of his little protégé.
