Christmas was fun as always. It was my first with our baby boy. He was only 8 months old so he didn't quite know what was going on, but it was still fun for mom and dad, and grandma and grandpa. On Christmas Eve, we went up towards Mt Charleston to the shooting range and my Dad brought out all his guns for a fun family shooting time. His 22 rifle, 9 mm, 48 and others. The 9 mm was fun (and loud) and his western style gun. After shooting a fam shot with all of us holding a various gun/rifle, we went home to rest awhile till it was time for our last dinner at Sir Galahads at Excalibur since they are closing down. Sad cause it's been a tradition in our family for years to eat there on Christmas Eve. Then after opening pjs, Dad wanted to forgo reading Twas the Night Before Christmas, and just skip to Luke 2, but he got outvoted. Then, he was so tired, and wanted to get all the presents out but we were all watching a movie, so we all just went into the storage and brought all the presents out ourselves (they were all wrapped), but it was funny cause I've never done Santa's job before. Dad had us all line up as we have done since we were all kids (even though he only has 2 left in high school/jr high) and recorded us as we walked out to see what Santa brought/we had put under the tree ourselves the night before. We definitely need more little children in our house so that the traditions are fully played out!!
After we all opened our presents it was mom and dads turn to open theirs while we all watched. They are so cute together, still. Dad got several days worth of Tour de France dvds and some other biking stuff. After they were done, we made a huge breakfast and just played until it was dinner time (which we started preparing for at about 2).
Few weeks later, to celebrate Court and Ashleigh's birthdays Mom flew them up to Utah to watch the Jazz vs Suns game. We got to watch it in the skybox where they served you dinner and them snacks. Fun night cause of the people, but not so fun game since Steve Nash, Grant Hill and Shawn Marion were all out (flu, appendix burst, and bruised elbow and shoulder). This was the second game that Trent and I have been to when Steve Nash has been out due to injuries or sickness. Our family is huge Suns fans and I was anxiously awaiting the chance to see Steve play since he makes the game so much more interesting and fun. Guess I'll just have to wait again till next time.

Uncle Scotty got Brenden a wagon-for 2! Was he trying to tell me something?

Brenden loved his books, especially since they were squishy and easier to gnaw on.

Brenden loved his Phoenix Suns ball that Santa brought. Trent sometimes asks Brenden if he can borrow it.

Grandpas t-shirt with picture of him and Brenden watching TV together. Grandpa even propped Brenden up with a pillow like he always does. Must teach him the proper way.

Apron reads "Whos your Gma?"

Still in Love.

Big King Breakfast

"I shot a rabbit that was
this big"

My favorite gun! It was western style and semi automatic, but I choose to cock it every time. Much more fun that way.

Mom almost shot her foot off. Check out the dirt hole where the bullet hit. Dodged a bullet.

King family shot.

Sorensen Family shot in front of a well shot up car.

Gma and B all smiles cause were about to watch a Suns game (sad though that we cant see Nash, Hill or Marion:(

Brenden getting a kiss from cousin Swald.

Amare is about to go up for the rebound. What a dominate player!!

My happy Suns fan. Must start them early.

Trent and I enjoying the skybox. Especially Trent since dinner was served. They actually had some good prime rib meat-end cut was the best.

Fam shot of all the girls cept Steph who sat in lower bowl for awhile.

Both happy people. Baby has been fed, in warm blanket, watching his favorite team and snuggled next to Grandma. What more could a baby ask for?

Lovin on the grandbaby. So precious

Gma got baby B to sleep. She has the touch

One happy dude cause food is on its way

Nicole,
I'm so glad you found my blog! Your little family is so cute, and your little boy is adorable. I didn't know you were in Utah. We should definitely get together some time!

Hi Nicole, You guys are the cutest family ever! Do your Mom and Dad kiss in front of you guys all the time like that or was that just for the picture? I love the gun picture and it gives me a great idea for the next time my whole family takes family pictures...my dad would love a pose like that, it might even make him get a little excited about having to take a picture. I'm glad you guys are doing well, hope to see you soon. -Steph Johnson
