I fed B some 'big people cereal' and thought I'd take a few pictures of the momentous occasion. (It was the Special K corn flakes with strawberries).
Really funny how his right hand was mimicking what his left hand was doing in the first 2 photos.
When we went to Vegas for Court's wedding, Dad made grilled cheese and tomato soup, but entirely from scratch. Boiled the tomatoes, pealed and pitted them, then mixed a bunch of stuff to make it creamy and so good. But then he topped it off with a homemade pesto sauce-basil leaves, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, olive oil and garlic-with mozzarella cheese toasted in a panini grill. Mmmm, so good that I had to try it myself. (Just the homemade pesto part...the tomato soup was too involved for my level of cooking).
