Must be a Dream

Las Vegas, NV
2 Kids. One 6'4" the other 2'5".
The taller kid showed the littler kid train videos on the internet every morning after his bike ride. They talked about riding the rails one day...
old photo look

This little kid went to sleep dreaming of big locomotives, smoke stacks, and train tracks...

Was he still dreaming? Could this be real?

It must be. A Squid is running alongside a train

Wow, this little kid must have some pretty swell Grandparents. They even got him a real choo-choo shirt from this bonafide train shanty.

But not one of these choochoos. Good thing Mom got me one when we got home.
60

Real train riding people. Dreams do come true!
52

Oh yeah, and Mom and Dad were there, too.
51
Do you guys like trains too? Cool!
91

These women just keep holding me back....so much to explore, ladies. I just got on the train, you think I'm going to sit still for a picture? Be real.
50

There was Uncle Rawhide too. He and the other tall guy kept planning a train robbery. I think it went from horses to bikes...or something like that.

That little boy left the dusty town of Boulder city/Las Vegas a changed man.

To date, I have lost track as to how many times we have watched this video. No one can get him as excited or pumped about the choo-choos like Grandpa can. His imagination was filled to the max during this trip.
     Just as childhood should be.

A few other photos that didn't make the first cut:

Wow, must've been real exciting before we got there to pick you up, B. A real sleeper. :)

Or maybe you were just having sooo much fun it wore you out.

One happy chamaco.

Favorite brother

Nice to have a grandbaby that will sit still on your lap, eh? Grandpa likes the wiggly ones and Grandma likes the still ones. I'd say it worked out pretty nicely on this trip.

Grandma got K to sleep in her arms. Lucky.

If I remember correctly, this guy was alive when the original train tracks were built to expedite the building of the Hoover Dam. Once a train aficionado, always a train aficionado. Is this B's future job?

Excitement was contagious and felt all around

B wasn't the only one playing with all the toys.

Scoping it out before we were admitted on board

These are the actual trains that used to run these rails...they're just air-conditioned and revamped now.

Great trip. Once again. After Church and a good meal, we had to go back to real life. Too bad. I like the desert. Alot.
