On Dad's virgin attempt at creating the perfect Hamburger, he invited around 30 people over to the house. Talk about pressure. But it didn't seem like he felt much pressure watching him prepare our grub.
First, prep the french fries. You cook them till they're about done, so that most of that cooking is done. That way, when the people start pouring in, they won't have to wait forever for their fries and it'll be piping hot. Mmmm, look at that grease sizzle.
The lone cook and his homemade cooking trailer.
Fry prep almost done.
Now, and no sooner, it's time to fire up the grill for the Burgers. Grandpa showing Brenden where the fire comes in.
Jared and Gma preparing the condiments. Don't skimp on this part. That would be a sub par Burger, and therefore, not the perfect Burger. We're going for perfection. And those avocados were perfection. Tomatoes, Avocados, Bacon and Lettuce (which was in the fridge, already washed and cut...just getting crisp).
Desserts that most of us didn't have room for after our perfect Hamburger and Fries. (The burgers turned out to not have enough fat on them. Guess we'll just have to try it again. New Years???)
But she did approve of the goods.
K, back to the important stuff. After perusing your local Butcher shop for the finest Sirloin, Short Rib and Beef Steak.
Measure each meat carefully so that they are exactly
Mix the 3 meats together and dump into your personal Meat Grinder.
First round of grinding on the larger setting.
On the second round, the meat will be ground to a finer degree than this. First things first.
Dad and I were laughing because we were just talking about what that clump of meat looks like when Scotty comes over and says the same thing....
...a human brain. Yum.
Now it's ready for the second round of grinding. This one is the fine grind which will come out looking more like what you see at the grocery store.
Don't forget your laser temperature taker so that the Hamburgers come out to....Perfection.
One thing Dad does right, is assuring that all pieces of the meal come out at the same time, so that all is hot and ready to eat.
Baby girl also waiting patiently for the meat to come off the grill.
Almost....

Dad makes the company work for their food.
The guys just naturally gather round a hot grill. Dad could take this to a tailgate party and really draw a crowd. Too bad UNLV just doesn't have the draw that ASU, BYU and other big time Football schools carry.
Finish up the fries, toast the Fuddruckers buns, and grill the meat.
Final step: Enjoy.
