2 Sundays ago it climbed all the way up to the 50s, so almost every citizen of Salt Lake and Utah county showed up at Temple Square. We didn't want to be left out, so we joined them. The crowds were thick, but the lights, nativities from around the world...both life size and kid size...was a perfect way to get even more into Christmas. (Seems like after a worldwide Church Christmas devotional, a Ward Christmas program/devotional and then a Stake Christmas devotional, I'm all devotion-ed out. Good thing they were all well done, though).
First stop, the Temple. Always better in person, no lie.
(Sometimes, when the kids are too young to protest, as the all-supreme ruler and overseer of clothing you put things on them that they otherwise should probably not wear. Kyleigh's beanie is blue so probably for a boy and the two pom poms are comical. She will hate me later for letting her wear that, but I'm the mom and she never told me otherwise, so it stayed on. hehehehe).
Buddy had a good time going from red light to yellow light to green light to all kinds of animal statues and water features. And it was outside where he loves to run around and be free, somewhat. He was very good and stayed right by us the entire time. Never had to punish him and strap him in the stroller. So many people there I was sure hoping he wouldn't attempt a track star moment.
That's a girl in the blue thing.
Really cool Joseph, Mary and baby on the water.
Kyleigh was allowed to get out of the stroller and she just followed Brenden wherever and up whatever he was on.
Good thing we didn't wait cause last Sunday was cold and wet and this morning there are 2 inches on my outside banister alone. Temple Square sure does a nice job. I hear they start in August for this light show.
