Cabin fever reliever

When everyone feels caged up inside, time to go visit the caged animals. Cleveland Zoo has a Rainforest section that is large in itself. It was waaaaaay too cold to be outside, and indoor activities are limited, so if you're going to do something, this is a good place to start. It's almost 80 degrees inside, so you immediately have to strip off the heavy layers you came in with once you step inside.

Fat toad.

Looks like a lion monkey. Strange breed.

We read every description on every animal. No, no we didn't. But sometimes the things looked so strange, we had no idea what they were, so Trent and I had to look it up. Would hate to tell the kids that we just saw a monkey when it was really a Golden Lion Tamarin.

Ever seen a brilliant blue toad? No? That's too bad.

How bout a black one with neon green spots? No? That's a shame.

Gecko? Iguana? Lizard? I'm going with Chameleon.

Kids didn't care to stare at the bats for very long. More of a passing glance.

He liked the snakes more.

Not venomous. But don't get too close. Will suffocate.

This guy was so huge and long. B stayed and this guy for awhile.

Frogs aren't the only things painted blue.

Not a crocodile. It's a gharial.

At the end of the first floor, you climb up the ladders inside a tree.

B climbed up the boat used as a prop. Don't tell the zoo.

Was a nice escape from the below freezing weather.
