Lace 'em up

Trent is a winter guy. He enjoys all things that come with winter. (He even doesn't mind shoveling, which is a nice bonus). We had an open Saturday afternoon and thought that maybe the kids were old enough to try out some ice skating.
Before we left, I found Brenden's wool socks, got Kyleigh some of Brenden's thick socks and all the gloves and beanies ready. Just wish I had also remembered to get myself something other than ankle socks. One time around the rink and I was rubbed raw.

We had the whole place to ourselves.

No, no we didn't. And there were probably more people who had no idea what they were doing than people who did. Brenden had to fight for side wall space with some teenagers.

This little girl loved the whole experience. She told us where to hold her and she just moved her feet forward and back. (Not so nice on our backs though). We had to take turns holding the kids since neither could fend for themselves.

After several more rounds around the rink, I sat out. My leg was gone. Kids were done after one more lap anyway.

It was a little cold that day...

In case you were wondering...
