Where were you on the afternoon of January 12th?

Not at the Nasa Science museum? If you had been, you'd have seen these guys pour liquid cold stuff into a plastic bin to make smoke.

 They did other stuff too like put some tablet into the coke bottles and had it shoot out froth/foam. B liked it.


In warmer weather, you can tour this ship.

Task complete. The track is hanging and runs above our heads with a bridge for the kids to raise or lower.

They also got to fly a jet. Brenden tried to take a whirl, but someone got in his way...

Then she took over the controls when it was her turn. Very determined...

"Mom, it was cake. I could do this with my eyes closed. Nothin' to it."

Building a tower out of blocks, and they look up to see the competition...

B touches the sign or picture and pretends he's flying it.

How many does your state have?

B was playing with the plasma ball, putting his hand to it to draw the current, when an employee comes over to him with a light bulb and tells B to touch the light bulb to the ball. He does and it starts to light up. But his hand was near the tip and everything behind his hand was not lighted. So the guy told him to place his hands near the end, B did, and the whole bulb lit up.

Fat mirrors. Kyleigh has substance to her now.

Speedometer. Trent and I tested it. He beat me. But I beat the guys behind us. Didn't look like baseball was really their thing, anyway. They were probably there for the science anyway.

B is a nice older bro. ;)

...but when he's racing, it's fair game.

Cooperative arch building. We were a stronger, more united family after this. No, maybe it didn't change our entire outlook on life, but it was a fun 3 minutes...if that. We were rather speedy as a group with two little assistants.

B did some more flying.

And skating. This one tests how long you can keep your balance. It should also be known that though Trent killed me on the baseball throw, his reaction speed on the game to the right of B (where a guy in a hat is playing) was no where near mine. Ok, so it was close...mere 2 or 3 points, but those count!

Kyleigh almost fell in.

She didn't and graced us with a musical presentation.

B and I had a duet.

Great museum. Plan for a whole morning or afternoon if not day. There were several floors and areas of interest for everyone. And plenty of hands on activities to keep us all interested. We can't all be naturally scientifically-minded.
