Every once in awhile, the kids do something, without thinking, that show their true colors; and makes a momma proud.
Brenden is in a Preschool class where there are some kids who have some disabilities...mental and physical. This teacher was picking up the last few who came on the bus and was having a difficult time getting them to class. She was holding one and trying to convince the other one to walk to the classroom. The student didn't want to. She was on the ground throwing a fit and ignoring the teacher. I walked up with Brenden and our neighbor who is in the same class and the teacher asked the boys if they would grab the girls hand and help her come to class. Brenden didn't even wait till the teacher had finished talking before he let go of my hand, walked over to the little girl on the ground, grabbed her hand, and in his little toddler voice began to tell her that she needs to come with him to class and all the fun things they are going to do once they get there. I just stood there, with my one hand empty, the other still holding onto our neighbor's kid, and watched as he led the little girl to the classroom. The neighbor kid and the teacher then joined with Brenden and the little girl and they all walked up to the room to go play with dump trucks and trains. Maybe he gave her a car to play with?
