Lake Powell

Lake Powell was a good time. Fireworks were great again this year. With the added bonus of the 2 boats on either side of us also putting on great shows.
Food was excellent. Mom probably enjoyed not having to be in the kitchen almost the entire time...except she still kept sneaking in and helping all us kids with our meals. Steph, I need to get that kabob recipe. Still salivating over it. Flank steaks, Cafe Rio, Kabobs, Tacos, ....and I already forgot the rest but it was very good.
Plenty of activity going on. We had more tube rides this year than last. And, luckily, no casualties to report.
Lots of family swim...with cute water babies all around. At least the desert babies enjoyed the water while the other ones had to be forced and coerced to get wet. Not my fault...it's Utah's cold weather/water (and Akron isn't going to help much either).
Cool canyon sea do rides, a nice short hike through a slot canyon. And plenty of relaxation.
This was right before we left for Powell. Can't remember what she was eating, but she enjoyed it.

Brenden was excited any time his Dad mentioned the 'jet ski' and 'ride' words in the same sentence.

Jace thoroughly enjoyed his rides, too.

Handsome, handsome man.

Kyleigh is presenting Abby....the soon-to-be-birthday girl.

Good beach. Not alot of stickers or weeds. Just fire ants to watch out for. John and I both got stung during the trip. Those things hurt for awhile. No me gusta pa' na'.

Grandpa teaching the kids how to properly watch television.  (He was probably too deaf to hear all the way to the back of that chair in the left hand side of the photo with all the kid and grandkid ruckus getting in the way of the Tour de France updates). But I understand, we've been riding lately and it is addicting.

Mae borrowing Abs cell to make a personal call.

Trent about to throw the touchdown pass.

Scotty making the touchdown catch.

Nice arm, Court.

You too, Jared. Nice arm.

Court walks on water.
And so does her husband.

All that throwing, catching and walking on water really wore these guys out.

Trent went for a couple passes as well.

Uncle Scotty....always good with kids.

Water baby Noa.

B prefers sand to water.

But was eventually coerced into joining his little cousin in the water.

Movie time.

Gatorade time.

Rebel time.

K Mae playing peek-a-boo and Jace wanting a turn.

Kyleigh wants Flynn Rider. I think he's taken. Can't she see that?

Sweet, pretty baby.

We need Jace!!! Where is he?

Oh, goofing off. Or working on his leg exercises. Getting ready for football camp next Spring.

Kyleigh, Flynn is calling you. I think he ditched Rapunzel.

She moved on. She was so proud of herself for jumping off the mattress pad.

We had a nice view of the sun setting.
And a couple microburst storms approaching. We're glad that Dad saw those and had us tie everything off so we didn't loose anything....but the neighbors all did.
These kids from the boat next door put on their ski googles and shovels to help the neighbors re-dig their anchors.

I want YOU for the U.S. army.

Boys went for a couple slot canyon rides.
