Vegas-phone camera documentation

These last groupings of photos from our trip to Vegas are all from my phone camera, so they're being dumped here.
On the 6 hour flight to Vegas, these kids were entertained by books, play doh, movies, but especially, the palpable anticipation of being able to see Poppy and Bama again.

We just love Grandma and Grandpa's pool

During some downtime, and to make oneself comfortable, why not pull up the tube to the top of the waterfall? When Brenden first started to pull the tube toward the rocks, I was interested in where this was going and impressed at his determination to pull the big 'chair' to the top.

Couple of dudes....

My Dad is the Bishop, and before we get in the car to go home after Church to make lunch, B just can't leave the church building without saying goodbye to his Poppy. He has to make it quick because Bishops are always pretty busy after Church.
Little B will silently follow his Grandpa around the house sometimes. He just likes being around his "Big Poppy".

Meanwhile, when back at the house, beware as you approach Grandpa........

Other times his lap is good for a story or some chat...

When we first arrived, the kids went to bed kinda early since it was 3 hours ahead according to their internal clock. (And very light outside still).

After tennis camp one day, we had aunties, uncle Jared, Grandma and the kids eat at the clubhouse....and B especially loved the greens. It is not uncustomary for Brenden to scavenger a few extra leaves that you may have left on your own plate when he's finished polishing off his own greens.

One afternoon as we were all leaving, we find some of the kids had found their way into the garage and inside Bama's car.

This kinda looks like Kyleigh pushed Uncle John off the waterfall. But not so. Law of physics just doesn't allow such an equation to play out.

I went with my Mom and Dad to 2 Wedding receptions in one night and left the kids to my Brother's care. Knowing how much they love Looney Tunes and Bugs Bunny, I told Scott to just let them watch a few episodes on the computer if they get crazy. We left them in this position and this is how we found them when we returned. We had to ask Scott if they had moved for dinner or bathroom breaks. (Yes, they had. Barely.)
Another time, I wanted to capture this closeness of these two. As in the picture above, the kids had two chairs-one for each of them-but they like to be close. As shown below, too.

Uncle John letting Abby jump from the waterfall. She loved it.

Grandpa is good to these kids. Snow cones babies.

This shot is included because I really like how well my brother treats all his nieces and nephews. Here he wasn't asked, but just grabbed the car seat of his niece Haley to carry her to the car. He is one top notch Uncle.

For the 4th of July, we grabbed a picnic from the local fried chicken joint and ate it up in the mountains. Alot of luck in this little trip. It was raining as we traveled up to the picnic spot but stopped when we parked and ate. And then hours after we left, the Mountain was closed due to the danger of the Mount Charleston fire that ended up burning nearly 28,000 acres over 11 days and brought 9 of the countries 10 hot shot crews to fight the fire.

We sure miss Aunty Ash!!

Love these faces.

We packed all the little kids and drove over to Red Rock area to view the fireworks show. Short and sweet.

My Grandma flew in from Phoenix to visit for a day. We lucked out. Brenden attached himself to her the moment she walked in. It was like there was no need for time to reacquaint himself with who this lady was. He automatically remembered and had a sentimental feeling towards her...like he knew she genuinely loved him. As his Mom, I've seen him react to alot of people, and there are only a handful that he seems to warm up especially well to/with. He laid on her when she sat on the couch when she first walked in and during breakfast he choose to sit next to her instead of his Mom or grandparents. (And lucky for him-he got her to read him the train book).

Grandparent-ing at it's finest.

Can bring one to drink?? ;)

Brenden only got to see her for a little while, but when we got back to Ohio, he didn't let me forget his promise to color a picture for his Grandma Jackie and was all too excited when he slipped it into the Post Office drop box. His mind doesn't work like the typical kid, so it makes sense that he puts more stock into familial relationships than is common for his age.

Soon it was time for us to fly back to Ohio. This was Kyleigh on the ride to the airport.....utterly exhausted from all that fun in the sun and playtime with her Grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. We can't help it. We have some pretty cool family members to visit and look forward to when we get to make a couple more memories together.
