summer 2013
Before heading to the West for a summer vacation where swimming would be involved, Trent and I wanted to help the kids get 'water ready'. They had swimming lessons for about a month before we left and Brenden was my more timid kid. Didn't like to stray or take risks in the water. Kyleigh did what she was told, but also didn't look confident in the water. The University of Akron's swimming pool is a fun place though. When Trent and I go with them, they like to hold onto us in the whirlpool on the right and the lazy river on the left. It's a big facility and been a good place to take a break from the gray skies for awhile :)

Kyleigh also swimming backwards with her instructor.
After their individual instruction testing out different strokes and kicks, they put life jackets on to go swim in the lazy river. Behind the glass wall, there were several basketball courts, weight room and general exercise area. It's a new-er building to the area so it doesn't look like the surrounding buildings downtown.
Lucky for me, they had swim instruction times at the same time for my two different age level kids.

B preferred to have goggles on so he could feel a little more in control. Maybe?
